What Is Fellowship Training?

An additional year of advanced medical education completed after residency.

Focuses exclusively on undersea and hyperbaric medicine (UHM), combining clinical care, research, and teaching.

Fellows train under experienced faculty in hyperbaric chambers, dive medicine, and advanced wound care.

The goal is to prepare physicians to provide the safest and most effective care for patients requiring hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Graduates are eligible for subspecialty board certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Board of Preventative Medicine (ABPM).
